Working towards a strong foothold in Jammu and Kashmir, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) J&K chapter managed a mammoth gathering in Srinagar on Saturday wherein newly appointed AAP office bearers of Kashmir province were administered the oath, a day after a similar function was conducted in Jammu province.
The State Incharge of AAP Durgesh Pathak who also holds the charge of Parliamentary Action Committee (PAC) member, National Organization Building Incharge, and MLA of Delhi Legislative Assembly administered oath to office bearers of Kashmir provincial units and district units of Kashmir.
Besides Pathak, senior leaders of AAP including Minister of Food and Civil Supplies and Election, Delhi Government Imran Hussain, three times MLA from Jammu province Harsh Dev Singh address the mammoth gathering on the occasion.
Apart from heads of office bearers of provincial units and district units, Dr. Nawab Nasir also took oath as Chairman State Media Committee AAP JK. While as Nasir Ali Kochak as chairman J&K State Political Strategy and Policy Committee, Farooq Ahmed Aga co-chairman, Sheema Farooqi as co-chairperson Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Engagement and Minority Affairs Committee, Ghulam Mustafa Khan as provincial president and Nazir Ahmed Yatoo, Mohd Amin Dar, and Deeba Khan as provincial vice presidents, Farooq Ahmed Banday as senior vice president, Mudasir Hassan as Youth President were too administrated oath on the occasion.
Pertinently, last month, AAP announced the formation of its UT- (Union Territory) and provincial-level units in Jammu and Kashmir, saying that it will contest the Assembly elections in the Union Territory with full force.
