SATRANG: Young artists displayed their creative work through paintings in Srinagar

In a bid to provide a platform for budding and talented artists, one of the prominent private schools of Kashmir, Green Valley Educational Institute organized a two-day Annual Art Exhibition titled “Satrang” at Nigeen Club Srinagar.

Several artists including veteran painting artist Shafiya Shafi and other school students displayed their work at the exhibitions, which saw the presence of several dignitaries from different walks of life.


At the exhibition different types of paintings wherein oil colors, watercolors, fusion, three-dimensional and other paintings were displayed, the visitors lauded the organizers for the conduct of this exhibition.


Talking with Onlykashmir.in on the sidelines of the exhibition, one of the artists Soliha Qureshi said it was indeed a good experience that people from different walks of life gave their feedback on our works, she said that such exhibitions should be conducted on a routine basis which ultimately ushers the talent of artists.


Another artist, Manahil Shajar said that any youngster willing to pursue his education in this field should be encouraged, adding, at such exhibitions we undoubtedly learn from each other.


A staff member from Green Valley Educational Institute told Onlykashmir.in on the occasion “our school has made it mandatory to exhibit the talent of youth by organizing such events.”
