In a concerted effort to empower women across Kashmir, the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation (RNA Foundation) has been conducting a series of impactful drives and workshops aimed at raising awareness and fostering financial independence among women in the region.
Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, Rouble Nagi, the visionary founder of the RN Foundation, highlighted the foundation’s recent endeavors. She revealed that on April 15th, in Goripora Baramulla, a workshop saw the active participation of 400 women who were sensitized about menstrual hygiene. As part of the initiative, sanitary napkins were distributed among the attendees, underlining the foundation’s commitment not just to awareness but also to tangible action.
Nagi proudly announced that since 2017, the RN Foundation has been instrumental in engaging around 800 women in its programs. She emphasized the foundation’s outreach to the remotest corners of Kashmir, where they aim to make a real difference in the lives of women.
The positive feedback received thus far has encouraged the foundation to expand its reach, with plans underway to establish multiple centers in both South and North Kashmir.
At the heart of the RN Foundation’s mission lies the empowerment of women, particularly in terms of financial independence. Nagi unveiled ambitious plans for Jammu and Kashmir, intending to set up solo centers, including in downtown Srinagar. Notably, previous centers have been established in collaboration with the Indian Army, showcasing a spirit of partnership in their endeavors.
Looking ahead, Nagi revealed that the RNA Foundation has its sights set on hosting an international event in Jammu and Kashmir later this year. This announcement underscores the foundation’s commitment to broadening its impact and bringing global attention to the cause of women’s empowerment in the region.
With each drive and workshop, the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation continues to make strides in its mission to uplift and empower women across Kashmir, reaffirming its position as a beacon of change and progress in the community.
