Muralidhar Mohol Reviews Cooperative Training Programs at VAMNICOM

On June 16, 2024, Shri. Muralidhar Mohol, Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Aviation, visited the Vaikunth Mehta Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM) in Pune. He honored Vaikunth Mehta’s contributions by garlanding his statue. Dr. Hema Yadav, VAMNICOM Director, welcomed the Minister and highlighted the institute’s efforts to strengthen the cooperative movement in Maharashtra and across India.

Dr. Yadav presented an overview of VAMNICOM’s activities, including their training programs and the success of the Post Graduate Diploma courses in Agri Business Management and Cooperative Business Management. The institute aims to become a center of excellence in the cooperative sector.

Minister Mohol interacted with faculty and staff, reviewed the institute’s programs, and expressed satisfaction with their work. He encouraged the institute to align with initiatives led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah to enhance cooperative training programs nationwide. His visit is expected to boost VAMNICOM’s role in cooperative education and training.
