Srinagar: Smt. Rouble Nagi, founder of the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation, demonstrated her commitment to education and women’s empowerment with two impactful initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir.
In Rainawari, Srinagar, on June 27, 2024, Smt. Nagi marked her upcoming birthday by donating 100 benches to Govt. Girl’s Higher Secondary School. The donation aims to enhance the learning environment and support the educational journey of young girls in the region. School authorities and community members welcomed the gesture, acknowledging its positive impact on students’ daily experiences.
Simultaneously, in Saidpora, Sopore, Smt. Nagi inaugurated a women’s skill centre on June 27th and 28th, 2024. Motivated by the financial challenges faced by women in the area, the centre is equipped with machinery and materials for vocational training in tailoring, handicrafts, and other income-generating activities. This initiative underscores the foundation’s commitment to empowering women by providing them with skills essential for economic independence and community development.
Addressing attendees at both events, Smt. Nagi reiterated her belief in the transformative power of education and skill development. She emphasized, “Education and skills are catalysts for change and progress in society. By investing in these areas, we empower individuals to build better futures for themselves and their communities.”
Community members expressed gratitude for the initiatives, recognizing them as significant steps towards creating sustainable livelihoods and fostering socio-economic empowerment in Rainawari and Saidpora. As these projects continue to unfold, the Rouble Nagi Art Foundation remains dedicated to its mission of uplifting underprivileged communities through education, art, and skills development.
