The Department of Horticulture, J&K, secured first place at the International Agriculture & Horti Expo-2024, held from 20th to 22nd July at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The expo focused on advancements in agriculture and horticulture, including protected cultivation, irrigation technologies, organic farming, and more.
The department’s stall showcased various fruit cultivars from Jammu and Kashmir, attracting significant attention from visitors and expo management. The exhibits of fresh and dry fruits were particularly noted.
At the valedictory session, the J&K Horticulture Department was declared the most attractive participant, earning them the top prize at the expo.
