Srinagar: Delhi-based mountain sports brand Zabarvan is hosting a cycling marathon along the banks of Dal Lake on August 4. The event will see hundreds of participants across the Valley, starting from Zabarvan Park on Boulevard Road.
“We decided to pay homage to the place that inspired our brand’s name by starting the event from here,” said Sehan Shetty, founder of Zabarvan. “With maximum participation expected in the kids’ category, we hope to inspire a new generation of mountain cyclists who can later compete nationally and internationally.”
The Zabarvan Cyclothon will end with an award ceremony, featuring multiple awards including cash prizes and citations. “We plan to sponsor the more talented kids and do everything we can to promote and facilitate their growth,” added Shetty.
