SRINAGAR, JULY 27: The ‘My Youth My Pride’ initiative wrapped up its July sports activities with outstanding performances across central Kashmir.
In Srinagar, the Indoor Sports Complex hosted Taekwondo events, Polo Ground saw hockey competitions with 300 players, SKISC concluded its badminton matches, and the Gindun Sports Complex in Rajbagh held basketball finals.
Budgam’s events included handball, Pencak Silat, and cycling, attracting hundreds of athletes from schools and Khelo India Centers. Ganderbal hosted finals for judo, Thang Ta, and volleyball, with large spectator turnouts.
Additionally, 27 players were selected for the Phase-2 special summer Kabaddi coaching camp at SKISC Srinagar, conducted by the J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association and the J&K Sports Council.
Secretary of the J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gull, reiterated her commitment to making sports accessible to every child in J&K, encouraging youth to utilize the available infrastructure and training.
