SRINAGAR, JULY 27: Dr. Owais Ahmed, Commissioner of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for Independence Day 2024. Senior officers from SMC, SDA, and SSCL attended.
Dr. Ahmed urged officials to increase their efforts and engage actively in the celebrations, emphasizing teamwork to ensure success. A detailed action plan was discussed, including city illumination, installation of MTVs and water points, and readiness of the drainage wing for weather-related issues. The sanitation wing was directed to maintain cleanliness and hygiene citywide.
