Yusuf Dikeç, who won the silver medal in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team competition at the Olympic Games, made a statement about his striking stance during shooting. Stating that shooting without equipment was his own choice, Dikeç said that having his hand in his pocket during shooting made him feel more comfortable.

Yusuf Dikeç, who won the silver medal for Turkey with Şevval İlayda Tarhan in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, made statements about his shooting style.

Dikeç, who has been shared a lot on social media, explained that not using equipment was his choice. Dikeç said, “The world is not talking about me, the world is talking about Turkey. We are just a symbol. There is no negativity from the ministry or our federation regarding the equipment; this is my choice.”

“I Shoot with Both Eyes”

Stating that he prefers to shoot with both eyes, Dikeç said, “While the whole world shoots with one eye, I shoot with both eyes. I have researched this a lot and I have seen that it can be done more healthily,” he said.

Dikeç said about having his hands in his pockets while shooting, “Shooting with my hands in my pockets has nothing to do with being an artist. I am more motivated and feel more comfortable when shooting.”

Yusuf Dikeç, who won the first Olympic medal of his career, is also in eighth place in the world rankings.
