Six government employees, including five policemen, have been dismissed in Jammu and Kashmir for their involvement in a narco-terror network linked to Pakistan’s ISI.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha approved their dismissal under Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution following an investigation. The officials used their positions to facilitate narcotics sales to fund terrorism.
The dismissed individuals are Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, Khalid Hussain Shah, Rahmat Shah, Irshad Ahmad Chalkoo, Saif Din, and teacher Nazam Din. The government reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and corruption and urged public cooperation in reporting suspicious activities.
