Srinagar, 05 Aug: The banks of World Famous Dal Lake in Srinagar were alive with the excitement of the Zabarvan Cyclothon, an electrifying event organized by Sehan Shetty, founder of Zabarvan, alongside Guinness World Record holder Adil Teli. Held at Zabarwan Park, the event featured three thrilling races: men’s MTB & ATB (26 km), junior men’s and women’s (20 km), and a kids’ race (1 km).
Cyclists from all categories turned up in large numbers, with a total of 250 participants. The winners of the ATB category were Mashooq Maqbool, Bilal Ahmad Dar, and Waheed Ahmad Ganaie, while Yumna Parvaiz, Farah Ahad, and Nabil Khan topped the women’s race. In the men’s MTB category, Mohmiss Ismail Wani, Adil Altaf, and Akash Bhat claimed the top spots. Junior men’s winners included Jahangir Ahanger, Arslan Ahmad, and Tajamul Rashid, while Aman Gulzar, Usmaan Aslam, and Mehraan Nazir led the kids’ group.
The event was supported by Span Foundation, Outdoor Goats, Flexveda & Trex, and J&K Tourism, adding to the grandeur of this high-energy event. Zabarvan, a Delhi-based mountain sports company, continues to support athletes with top-notch training and equipment, aiming to elevate them to international competition levels.
