Srinagar, Aug 08: After the overwhelming success of ‘Laila-Majnu’ at INOX Srinagar, Imtiaz Ali has announced the re-release of the 2018 romance drama nationwide on August 9.

Starring Triptii Dimri and Avinash Tiwary, and directed by Sajid Ali, the film, which initially struggled at the box office, has since gained cult status.

The resurgence began when INOX Srinagar decided to screen the film due to local demand. The response was extraordinary, with sold-out shows and an unprecedented social media buzz.

Vikas Dhar, owner of INOX Srinagar, shared how the film’s re-release was driven by the love and support from the people of Kashmir. He emphasized that INOX Srinagar is not just a multiplex but a cultural revival effort, aiming to showcase local talent and prove that Kashmiris are second to none in the film industry.

The film shot entirely in Kashmir, has special significance for the local audience.
