The principal and staff of Late Shri Sarwanand Kaul Premi Govt. Higher Secondary School in Anantnag, commemorated the 100th birth anniversary of Shri Sarwanand Kaul Premi, a revered Kashmiri scholar, poet, educationist, freedom fighter, and Gandhian social reformer.

The celebration, held on November 2, 2024, began with an inaugural speech by Principal Mrs. Nagina, who described Premi as a guiding light, passionate poet, and profound scholar whose legacy continues to inspire.

The event’s chief guest, the Additional Commissioner of Anantnag, highlighted Premi’s contributions to Kashmir’s independence and his lasting influence as a philanthropist and advocate for peace and brotherhood. The program featured a series of lectures, poetry readings, and cultural performances by students, with participation from officials across various departments, including education, health, rural development, and emergency services.

In a show of gratitude, the District DDO gave the vote of thanks, recognizing the support from district administration and participants who made the event a memorable tribute to Shri Sarwanand Kaul Premi’s ideals and legacy.
