Srinagar: The Principal Accountant General (PAG) of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri JPN Singh, presided over the grand culmination of Audit Week 2024 at SKICC, Srinagar. The event featured a vibrant cultural program, felicitations of winners, and heartfelt acknowledgments to Media persons.
The week-long celebration, which ran from November 17 to 22, included a variety of activities such as a marathon, rangoli and painting competitions, blood donation drives, and sports competitions. The event’s highlight was the cultural performances, including skit plays, cultural songs, and musical performances by prominent singer Ishfaq Kawa, who captivated the audience with his vibrant renditions.
Vice Chancellor of Kashmir University, Prof. Nilofar Khan, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The event also honored 15 journalists, including daily Srinagar E Jang and Only Kashmir Chief Editor Bilal Bashir Bhat for their contributions to accounting world writing and coverage.
Rameez Makhdoomi received the Best Audit Journalist Award. Other eminent journalists felicitated were Khursheed Qureshi, Farzana Mumtaz, Peerzada Masrat, Ajaz Ahmad War, Sabahat Muqadas, Iqbal Beigh, Waiqul Haq, and Sarwar Kawoosa.
Winners of the marathon and rangoli competitions were felicitated, and the blood donors from PAG Jammu and Kashmir employees were praised for their contributions. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the employees and their families, who cheered for the performances.
Shri JPN Singh emphasized the importance of raising awareness about the different audit dimensions and expressed his commitment to continuing these efforts. The event concluded with a promise to carry forward the spirit of dedication and excellence in audit and journalism.
The proceedings were conducted by Tabraiz Madani, ensuring a smooth and engaging event for all attendees.
