Jammu, November 28: Secretary Information Department, Rehana Batul, reviewed the functioning of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) in a meeting attended by senior officials.
She emphasized the department’s critical role in disseminating government policies and urged greater engagement on digital and social media for broader outreach. Administrative issues, including updating recruitment rules and enhancing career prospects for employees, were discussed.
The implementation of the J&K Film Policy 2024 was highlighted, with a focus on promoting the UT as a film destination. Budget utilization and ongoing projects under CAPEX were also reviewed, with directives for timely and quality execution.
Director Information Jatin Kishore outlined recent promotional efforts, including participation in the International Film Festival of India, and initiatives to combat misinformation through fact-checking. The meeting concluded with a commitment to improving departmental efficiency and infrastructure.
