New Delhi, Dec 03: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh met Israel’s Industry and Economy Minister Nir Barkat to discuss collaboration in startups, focusing on space, quantum technology, agriculture, and health. Dr. Singh highlighted India’s National Quantum Mission as a cornerstone of technological advancement and invited Israeli startups to co-develop quantum technologies, leveraging India’s vast market and Israel’s cutting-edge innovation.
Dr. Singh underscored India’s growing space ecosystem, noting the surge in space startups due to forward-looking policies. He emphasized the mutual benefits of combining Israel’s expertise with India’s cost-effective production and large talent pool. He also highlighted the exponential growth in India’s bio-economy and suggested partnerships in biotechnology, AI, IoT, and semiconductors.
Barkat expressed gratitude for India’s support and detailed Israel’s innovative economic model, which fosters collaboration through shared infrastructure. He proposed joint pilot projects in AI and quantum tech to develop scalable solutions. Both ministers agreed to form a working group to explore opportunities in agriculture and marine sectors, recognizing the potential for innovation and sustainable growth.
Dr. Singh concluded by emphasizing the shared vision of India and Israel as knowledge-driven economies, confident that these collaborations will position both nations as global leaders in innovation. “Together, we can address today’s challenges and build solutions for a better tomorrow,” he said.
