Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has extended the tenure of Vice Chancellor of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Kashmir (SKUAST-K), Prof Nazir Ganaie, for an additional two years. This decision has been widely welcomed by the faculty and students of the university.

Naveed Hamid Bhat, Chief Executive Officer of SKUAST-K’s Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship (SKIIE) Centre, praised the decision, stating, “This extension is an acknowledgement to Prof Ganaie’s exceptional leadership and dedication to the university’s growth. It will provide continuity and stability, allowing us to further our mission of fostering innovation and excellence in agricultural sciences.”

The extension will take effect from December 16, 2024, ensuring that Prof Ganaie continues to lead SKUAST-K through its ongoing projects and initiatives.

The faculty and students have expressed their support for the decision, highlighting the positive impact Prof Ganaie has had on the university’s development and the agricultural community.
