In a noteworthy academic milestone, Professor Nandini Sahu, a celebrated Amazon bestselling author and academician, has officially assumed the role of Vice Chancellor at Hindi University, West Bengal.
Professor Sahu, a triple gold medalist in English literature, has been recognized with several prestigious accolades, including a Gold Medal from the Vice President of India and a Lifetime Achievement Award for her significant contributions to English studies in India. Her academic focus spans Indian literature, new literatures, indigenous knowledge systems, folk literature, comparative world literature, and critical theory.
With 21 acclaimed books to her name, her notable works include SITA (A Poem), Shedding the Metaphors, Hindu Studies: Foundations and Frameworks, and Re-reading Jayanta Mahapatra. Formerly the Director of the School of Foreign Languages and Professor of English at IGNOU, Professor Sahu brings extensive experience and academic distinction to her new position.
