Pune: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat hailed the efforts of two young activists from Jammu and Kashmir during the mega rally organized by Global Strategic Policy Foundation Pune (GSPFP) on December 19, 2024.
While speaking to a diverse audience, Dr. Bhagwat pointed out that unity between Hindus, Muslims, and Christians will be the basis of India’s journey towards becoming a “Vishwa Guru” or a world leader.
In his speech, Dr Bhagwat made the point on inclusiveness and collaboration. “There were communities that came here from elsewhere. Once we fought against them but they are not here. Now only insiders are remaining. So, we must move ahead and forget their relations with outsiders. Each one of them belongs to our community.”. If there are differences in our thinking, we should get in touch with one another. Unity of India is something the most important thing; everyone should try to do something for it.”
Young activists Sajid Yousuf Shah from Srinagar and Samreen Khan from Rajouri felicitated Dr. Bhagwat at a function attended by both old and new faces. The young icons were recognized for their dedication to serving people through community development and integration activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr. Bhagwat praised them, saying their work reflects a dedication to the unity and progress of the nation. “Their work is an example of cooperation and commitment for the welfare of the country,” he said.
During the meeting, Sajid Yousuf Shah extended an invitation to Dr. Bhagwat to visit Kashmir. Dr. Bhagwat was seen welcoming the invitation enthusiastically by promising to visit the valley soon. The gesture manifests a renewed focus on regional bridge building and dialogue.
