In the al-Mawasi refugee camp in southern Gaza, three Palestinian babies tragically froze to death due to the extreme cold and inadequate living conditions. The youngest victims were just three days, one month, and three weeks old. The tents they lived in were not insulated against the cold, and temperatures dropped to around 9°C (48°F) at night.
Aid groups have reported severe shortages of blankets, warm clothing, and firewood, making it difficult for displaced families to stay warm.
The situation is dire, with hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians living in makeshift tents and facing harsh winter conditions. The international community has been urged to provide more humanitarian aid to Gaza to prevent further tragedies.
The continuous suffering and loss of innocent lives are heart-wrenching, highlighting the urgent need for increased support and resources to protect vulnerable populations in Palastine and neighbouring countries.
