79 BN CRPF Launches Skill Development Training in Srinagar [Video Embedded]

Srinagar: The 79 Bn CRPF, stationed in Sonwar, Srinagar, Tuesday launched a Human Resources Development initiative focusing on skill development training under the Civic Action Programme.

The training, which centers on “Plumber General” skills, commenced at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar.

The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of prominent figures including Dr. Gulam Nabi Itoo, JKAS, Director of School Education Kashmir; Ms. Shabina Kyser, Chief Education Officer; Mrs. Huma Mir, Principal of the host School; and Mr. Mudasir Bhat, Co-Coordinator from M/s Momin Technology Pvt. Ltd.

The program aims to equip 50 students from the school with essential plumbing skills, enhancing their employment prospects and contributing to the broader goal of youth empowerment.

In his address, Kishore Kumar, Commandant of 79 Bn CRPF, emphasized the significance of such initiatives in nation-building by nurturing the skills of young people. He reiterated the CRPF’s dedication to social responsibilities, promising continued efforts to uplift the community under the directives of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Kumar extended his gratitude to Dr. Gulam Nabi Itoo, Ms. Shabina Kyser, media representatives, and the school principal for their support and presence at the event. This initiative marks another step in the CRPF’s commitment to fostering development and providing meaningful opportunities for the youth in Kashmir.
