New Delhi: Continuing its legacy of peace efforts, Aaghaz-e-Dosti has unveiled its 13th annual peace calendar, featuring 12 selected paintings—six each from India and Pakistan—created by students from both nations.
The themed “Sharing of Hopes” launch event was held at Art’est An Art Abode in Gurugram, Delhi NCR, and attracted an enthusiastic audience.
The gathering featured inspiring talks and poetry focused on Indo-Pak peace and friendship. Prominent speakers included Rakesh Khatri, an environmentalist known as the “Nest Man of India,” Dr. A. Annamalai, Director of the National Gandhi Museum, and Dr. Neelima Kamrah, Educationist and Founder Principal of KIIT World School.
Poetry by Team Kavishala added to the ambiance, stirring emotions and reinforcing the message of unity.
Organized by Aaghaz-e-Dosti in collaboration with Art’est An Art Abode, Kavishala, and The Gandhian Society, the event highlighted the role of art in fostering peace. The calendar serves as a powerful tool for peace education, promoting cross-border friendship and understanding.
In addition to showcasing vibrant artworks, the calendar includes messages from peace advocates, further emphasizing its theme of international friendship and unity between India and Pakistan. This initiative underscores the profound impact of art and dialogue in bridging divides and nurturing a future rooted in peace and mutual respect.
