Srinagar: On the occasion of Republic Day, the Editor-in-Chief of Rising Kashmir and President of the Jammu and Kashmir Press Corps, Mr. Hafiz Ayaz Gani, has been honored with the prestigious State Award in the category of “Outstanding Media Persons.”
Mr. Hafiz Ayaz Gani assumed leadership of Rising Kashmir and its sister organizations following the assassination of its founding Editor, Syed Shujaat Bukhari, in 2018.
An alumnus of the State Engineering University of Armenia (SEUA), Mr. Gani has played a pivotal role in strengthening the publication’s presence among readers.
In addition to his editorial responsibilities, Mr. Gani serves as the President of the Jammu and Kashmir Press Corps, a reputable association representing ethical and prominent local dailies and weeklies in Jammu and Kashmir. He is also a member of the Jammu Kashmir Media Accreditation Committee.

Each awardee will receive a cash prize of ₹51,000 and a citation in recognition of their contributions.
