‘Rashtriya Kavi Sammelan’ in Hindi, Dogri and Urdu held at Jammu

Jammu, January 27: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the three-day Rashtriya Kavi Sammelan at Abhinav Theatre, organized by the J&K Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages as part of the 76th Republic Day celebrations. The event celebrates the rich literary heritage of Hindi, Dogri, and Urdu, bringing together poets from J&K and across the country.

The LG highlighted the pivotal role of poets and writers in preserving traditions, promoting patriotism, and fostering unity in society. He called on literary personalities to use their art as a medium for raising awareness about socio-economic issues and strengthening the values of harmony and brotherhood.

During the Hindi Poetry session, renowned poets like Harish, Upender Pandey, Rajesh Agarwal, and others, along with emerging talents, enthralled the audience with captivating recitations. The event witnessed significant participation from officials, artists, and a large youth audience, reflecting the enthusiasm for cultural and literary expressions.
