The Department of Social Welfare, Jammu & Kashmir, has successfully restarted the Elderline Helpline (14567) across the Union Territory, reinforcing its commitment to the well-being of senior citizens.
The helpline will now be operational daily from 8 AM to 8 PM, providing essential support and assistance to elderly individuals. A dedicated team of trained counselors will be available to offer emotional support, legal guidance, and information on welfare schemes, ensuring that senior citizens receive the necessary care and aid.
An official of Social Welfare Department while talking with Onlykashmir.in, highlighted the significance of the initiative. “The re-launch of Elderline 14567 reaffirms our commitment to the well-being of senior citizens in Jammu & Kashmir. Many elderly individuals face loneliness, legal struggles, and difficulty in accessing welfare schemes. This helpline will serve as a crucial support system, offering them the necessary guidance and assistance,” he stated.
The Social Welfare Department urges all elderly individuals and their families to make use of this free and confidential service, ensuring a dignified and secure life for senior citizens across Jammu & Kashmir.
