Srinagar, February 19, 2025 – The Youth Empowerment Organisation (YEO) is celebrating a major milestone—10 years of transforming young lives through skill development and entrepreneurship training.

What started as a small mobile repairing program in Khag, Budgam, has grown into a nationwide initiative spanning 16 states, including Leh, Kargil, and Mokokchung in Nagaland. Over the years, YEO has expanded its reach by collaborating with 14 Sector Skill Councils and partnering with top institutions like the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), IITs, IIMs, and others.

YEO’s impact goes beyond traditional training programs. The organization has also been running CSR-funded skill development initiatives supported by major companies such as the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA), Power Grid Corporation of India (Powergrid), NTPC, and Honda.

In the past decade, YEO has trained over 60,000 young people, equipping them with market-ready skills and helping them build sustainable careers. Many have gone on to start their own businesses, contributing to job creation and economic growth across India.

“This milestone reflects the dedication of our youth, trainers, and partners,” said Sajjid Hussain Mir, Chairman of YEO. “We are incredibly proud of the impact we’ve made and remain committed to building a brighter, more inclusive future.”

Looking ahead, YEO plans to expand its programs, introduce new training opportunities, and continue empowering young people with the skills they need to succeed.

With its ongoing efforts, YEO is not just changing lives—it’s shaping a stronger, more self-reliant society for the future.
