Srinagar, Mar 03 : The picturesque town of Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir is all set to host the second leg of the Khelo India Winter Games (KIWG) 2025 from March 9 to 12, thanks to a recent bout of fresh snowfall.
The J&K government announced on Monday, expressing their readiness to welcome athletes and visitors to this renowned snow destination.
A spokesperson from the J&K administration told Onlykashmir.in, “The recent snowfall has created the perfect conditions for us to host the KIWG 2025 in Gulmarg. Together with the J&K Sports Council, we’ve made all necessary arrangements to ensure a world-class winter sports experience from March 9 to 12.”
The games will feature top athletes from across India competing in a variety of snow-based sports. After an earlier postponement from February 22-25 due to insufficient snow, the authorities are now confident that the infrastructure and logistics are fully prepared to support a seamless and thrilling event.
