Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha addressed the MSME Conclave 2025 in Jammu, organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce, highlighting the transformative role of MSMEs in economic growth, employment generation, and entrepreneurship.

He noted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, MSME exports have surged from ₹3.95 lakh crore in 2020-21 to ₹12.39 lakh crore in 2024-25, strengthening India’s global trade position. He emphasized the government’s commitment to J&K’s industrial growth through accessible credit, ease of doing business, and policy interventions aimed at fostering a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Sinha reiterated that thousands of MSME units have become operational in recent years, with efforts underway further to enhance technology adoption, skill development, and sustainability. He urged industry leaders to scale up micro and small enterprises into medium-sized businesses, ensuring long-term economic benefits.

Additionally, he cautioned against irresponsible statements that could erode investor trust and create obstacles in J&K’s journey toward prosperity. He stressed that the Central Government has made significant efforts to promote industrial growth in the region, and uninterrupted progress is crucial for the welfare of the people.
