Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha highlighted the transformative developments in Jammu & Kashmir under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership at the Viksit Bharat Samvad ‘EDGE 2025’ in Kanpur. He urged stakeholders to focus on making India a $5 trillion economy by 2026 and achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Emphasizing economic reforms, LG Sinha stressed the need for skilling, reskilling, and upskilling youth to leverage India’s demographic dividend. He called for reducing import dependence and strengthening domestic supply chains to position India as a global manufacturing hub by 2029.
He advocated for stronger Panchayat-Industry partnerships to drive rural development, ensuring villages match modern cities in infrastructure, healthcare, and education. He praised Kanpur’s industrial revival, noting increased exports and investments in textiles, leather, and defense manufacturing.
LG Sinha commended the collective efforts of industry leaders and organizations in fostering meaningful discussions and strategic collaborations to accelerate India’s progress.
