Srinagar, April 7: J&K Bank has signed an MoU with J&K Rural Livelihoods Mission (JKRLM) to implement its new microfinance scheme, ‘Lal Ded Stree Shakti Loan’, aimed at empowering women-led Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across the UT.
The initiative supports rural women in launching or expanding small businesses like agri-enterprises, handicrafts, and boutiques. JKRLM will identify and train eligible SHG members, while the Bank will offer loans through a simplified and time-bound process.
The three-year partnership promotes financial inclusion, grassroots entrepreneurship, and women’s economic self-reliance in line with the J&K Government’s vision.
