SKUAST-K hosted two renowned scientists this week to strengthen research and collaboration in agriculture. Dr. Rakesh Srivastava from ICRISAT, Hyderabad, visited to explore joint projects in genomic breeding, particularly on chickpea, and praised advancements at the Saffron Research Station.
Meanwhile, Dr. Aditya Pratap from IIPR Kanpur and Coordinator of AICRP on Kharif Pulses, reviewed pulse improvement trials at the Dryland Agriculture Research Station (DARS). He was joined by leading SKUAST-K scientists for field assessments and future planning.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. N.A. Ganai appreciated the experts’ insights and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to impactful agricultural research and partnerships.
