Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed strong frustration over the chaotic situation at Delhi airport, after his flight from Jammu was forced to divert to Jaipur due to congestion or operational issues.
Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Omar wrote, “Delhi airport is a bloody shit show (excuse my French but I’m in no mood to be polite). 3 hours in the air after we left Jammu we get diverted to Jaipur & so here I am at 1 in the morning on the steps of the plane getting some fresh air. I’ve no idea what time we will leave from here.”
His post highlights growing concerns among passengers over delays and logistical challenges at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, which has seen a surge in complaints related to overcrowding, flight delays, and poor coordination.
Several users on social media echoed Abdullah’s sentiments, sharing their own stories of flight diversions, long waiting hours, and lack of communication from airlines.
Currently, there is no official statement from Delhi airport authorities or the concerned airline regarding the reasons for the diversion and delay.
This isn’t the first time passengers have raised alarms over the state of affairs at major Indian airports, prompting calls for improved infrastructure, better crowd management, and timely updates for travelers.
