Srinagar, Aug 20: The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) Kashmir, led by Chairman A P Vicky Shaw, hailed the upcoming Khelo India Water Sports Festival beginning tomorrow on Dal Lake.
The three-day national event, a first of its kind in J&K, will host over 400 athletes from 36 states and UTs competing in rowing, canoeing, and kayaking, along with demo events like water skiing, dragon boat races, and shikara sprints.
Mr. Shaw praised J&K Sports Council Secretary Ms. Nuzhat for her meticulous arrangements, calling the festival a milestone for Kashmir’s sporting and tourism potential. The Chamber expressed full support, noting its positive impact on economy, youth engagement, and Kashmir’s image as a sports destination.
