Srinagar, Aug 21: Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur, is set to provide job-oriented education aimed at boosting students’ employment potential in the region. This was stated by Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra, who is also Chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group, while addressing a press conference in Srinagar on Thursday.
Bahra said the university is committed to delivering quality education and equipping students with the skills required to secure promising placements. “Our professional courses are designed to make students employment-ready, giving them a competitive edge in the job market,” he remarked.
Established in 2008, the university campus spans 55 acres and accommodates more than 10,000 students. It is known for its dynamic learning environment, modern hostels, well-equipped laboratories, extensive libraries, and sports facilities. The institution emphasizes academic excellence, industry-aligned programmes, research, and overall student development.
The university currently offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across disciplines including Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Education, Law, Nursing, and Medical Diploma and Certificate courses.
Highlighting future initiatives, Bahra announced that several new-age courses will soon be launched in collaboration with multinational companies to further enhance employability. “One of our key commitments is to prepare students for placements even before they complete their academic programmes,” he added.
Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr. Chander Mohan and other university officials were also present during the interaction.
