A Jammu and Kashmir Government official delegation headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will participate in the IFTM (International & French Travel Market) Top Resa tourism fair in Paris, scheduled from September 23 to 25, 2025.
According to Government Order No.1208–JK(GAD) of 2025, dated September 15, the delegation will include Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to the Chief Minister, and Vikas Gupta, JKAS, Director of Tourism, Jammu.
The participation aims to showcase Jammu and Kashmir’s tourism potential at the global platform, strengthen international tourism ties, and attract overseas travelers to the Union Territory. The expenditure on the visit will be borne by the Tourism Department.
Officials said the event provides an opportunity to promote Kashmir’s scenic beauty, adventure tourism, and cultural heritage in European markets, particularly in France, which remains a significant source of high-value tourists.
IFTM-Top Resa is France’s leading international tourism and travel trade fair, held annually at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Established in 1979, it has evolved into a comprehensive B2B event covering leisure travel, business tourism, group travel, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).
The fair brings together more than 30,000 professionals, around 1,400 brands, and representatives from nearly 170 destinations worldwide, offering a major platform for networking, business deals, and showcasing innovations in the global travel industry. It serves as a key meeting point for tourism boards, airlines, hotels, travel agencies, and startups to shape the future of tourism trends.
