The UK and India signed a £350 million ($468 million) defense pact for Thales Martlet lightweight missiles and launchers for the Indian Army, boosting air defense capabilities. Produced in Belfast, deliveries start soon.

In education news, PM Keir Starmer greenlit nine UK universities to open Indian campuses under the New Education Policy, including Southampton (Gurugram), Liverpool (Bengaluru), York (Mumbai), Lancaster (Bengaluru), and Surrey, plus De Montfort and Glasgow.
