The two-day Asmita League for Kayaking and Canoeing concluded with great enthusiasm and vibrant participation at the scenic Water Sports Club, Pokhribal.
The event, held under the banner of Khelo India and organized by the J&K Water Sports Kayaking & Canoeing Association, witnessed spirited performances from talented women athletes across the Union Territory.
After the thrilling finals, medals and certificates were distributed among the winners. The participants extended heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching such empowering initiatives that promote women’s participation in sports and nurture grassroots talent.
Expressing their gratitude, the young athletes reaffirmed their commitment to represent Jammu & Kashmir and the nation at higher platforms in the near future.
Prominent sportswoman Bilquis Mir graced the occasion with her presence.
