According to a media report published on the organizer’s website, Indian and Russian intelligence agencies have allegedly foiled a major plot to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The plot was allegedly being hatched from Dhaka, Bangladesh.
US Special Forces officer Terence Orwell Jackson was arrested near Dhaka under suspicious circumstances. Geoscientists believe that Jackson and his associates were likely planning a targeted assassination, which was foiled by a joint intelligence operation with Russia. Sources say that Jackson was having a sensitive conversation in a secret meeting.
Modi and Putin spoke privately for about 45 minutes during the meeting, during which issues in China that needed to be strategized at the SCO summit were also discussed.
The CIA is accused of trying to create political instability in South Asia, with the aim of targeting Modi’s growing influence in India.
Modi said, “Are you clapping because I went to China, or because I came back?” — a statement that alludes to the fact that a potentially deadly threat was looming.
