The Jammu & Kashmir Government has been honoured as one of the top achievers in the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) and Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) 2024 rankings at Udyog Samagam 2025 held in New Delhi. Commissioner Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Vikramjit Singh, accepted the award on behalf of the UT.
The award was presented by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal.
Under the BRAP 2024 assessment, the Union Government evaluated States and Union Territories across 25 major reform areas aimed at boosting ease of doing business. The assessment spanned 434 reform points and was backed by a large-scale national feedback survey involving more than 5.8 lakh businesses and over 1.3 lakh detailed interviews.
Jammu & Kashmir secured the 5th rank nationwide, earning the status of a Top Achiever with high scores in four out of five key reform categories. This achievement reflects the UT Administration’s commitment to building a transparent, efficient, and investment-friendly business ecosystem that promotes industrial growth.
The recognition at Udyog Samagam 2025 further strengthens J&K’s position as an emerging hub for investors and industries. The event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and government officials to celebrate collaborative progress in India’s industrial development.
