Srinagar, Sept 5: The Youth Services and Sports Department of Jammu & Kashmir has launched its official podcast, Khel Khel Mein, introducing a fresh digital platform to highlight the journeys of emerging and established sportspersons from the Union Territory.
Announced by Director General YSS Anuradha Gupta, the podcast debuted with an inspiring episode featuring Wushu star Jiya Manhas. The episode has quickly gained traction across the Department’s social media platforms, reflecting strong public interest in athlete-driven storytelling.
The initiative aims to go beyond routine sports reporting by capturing the struggles, discipline, and determination that shape champions. Featuring athletes, coaches, and sports professionals of national and international repute, the podcast seeks to serve as a virtual mentorship space for young aspirants across J&K.
Hosted by noted broadcaster Azhar Hajini, Khel Khel Mein aligns with the J&K Sports Policy’s focus on information dissemination and community engagement. By leveraging YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, the Department hopes to bring the message of “Sports for All, Fitness for All” directly to youth in the digital sphere.
Officials say the positive response to the first episode underscores the demand for platforms that celebrate homegrown talent and inspire the next generation of sportspersons in Jammu and Kashmir.
