The Jammu Kashmir Women Employees Association was officially launched today under the leadership of Dr Nazia Bhat, accompanied by committed party members and supporters from JK Women Employees Unite for Change. The newly formed platform seeks to strengthen women’s participation in the workforce and promote meaningful social transformation.
During the launch ceremony, Dr Nazia Bhat and Mtr Heena Ji outlined the core vision of the association. They stressed the need to empower women, safeguard their professional rights and ensure that every working woman attains progress with dignity and recognition. They reiterated that equal opportunities, respect and a secure workplace environment are essential for women’s growth.
The association voiced serious concern over recurring issues faced by women, including discrimination, harassment and the absence of adequate support structures. Dr Nazia assured that the Women’s Employment Association will stand firmly with affected women and work toward justice and fair treatment in all professional spaces.
The organisation will also run community-based programmes, awareness campaigns and skill development initiatives. To enhance women’s safety and confidence, upcoming self-defence workshops and training sessions were also announced.
The launch event concluded with a renewed pledge to build a society where women are empowered, protected and acknowledged for their contributions.
