Renowned religious scholar and public intellectual Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza on Sunday delivered his 214th weekly lecture at his academy, marking his first public address after spending nearly 103 days in jail in a fabricated case.

The previous lecture, numbered 213, had been delivered on 24 August 2025, making this session his return to the pulpit after a gap of about four months. Dressed in a green traditional Khandress, Engineer Mirza termed the lecture one of the most significant addresses of his life.

The lecture, attended by around 400 people, lasted approximately one hour and forty-five minutes and was structured around eight key points. During the address, he expressed gratitude to the section of scholars of the Deoband school of thought as well as Shia scholars for their steadfast support throughout his detention.

Engineer Mirza also praised his students and followers for maintaining restraint during his incarceration, specifically lauding them for not resorting to any form of extrajudicial action.

He reiterated that his speeches are rooted in truth, adding that such truth, he said, continues to resonate and challenge falsehood.

His return lecture was seen by attendees as both a symbolic and substantive moment, underscoring his continued influence and the sustained interest in his religious and intellectual discourse despite the recent legal and personal ordeal.
