Special prayer services and religious services were held at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Srinagar on the occasion of Christmas. Members of the Christian community attended a special mass to mark the birth of Jesus Christ.
The church was simply decorated with lights and a Christmas tree. Adequate security arrangements were made to ensure peace and order and traffic was also kept organized.
According to church officials, the prayers sought peace and harmony in the entire world, including Jammu and Kashmir. Senior administration officials also greeted the public on the occasion of Christmas.
