BJP J&K felicitated participants of “Swadeshi Mela” at its Srinagar District Office to promote indigenous enterprise under the “Vocal for Local” initiative. Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organization), BJP J&K, along with State General Secretary Anwar Khan, State Secretary Arif Raja, All Cells Co-Incharge Bilal Parray, and District President Advocate Sheikh Salman, honored participants showcasing locally made and traditional products.
Addressing them, Koul highlighted the campaign as a pillar of PM Narendra Modi’s vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, emphasizing support for local artisans, employment generation, and sustainable development. He reiterated BJP’s commitment to providing platforms for local talent in Jammu & Kashmir.
After the felicitation, Koul chaired an organizational review with Srinagar district and constituency presidents, attended by Anwar Khan, Arif Raja, Bilal Parray, Advocate Sheikh Salman, and other office-bearers. Discussions focused on strengthening the party’s grassroots structure, disciplined cadre-building, regular booth-level meetings, and effective public outreach. Anwar Khan urged functionaries to stay connected with people and communicate BJP’s achievements and policies effectively.
