In recognition of the distinguished and meritorious services rendered by officers and officials of the District Administration Srinagar, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), and District Police, the District Administration Srinagar on Saturday organised a Felicitation and Award Ceremony at the Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.
The ceremony was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, Commissioner SMC, Faz Lul Haseeb, and Senior Superintendent of Police, Sandeep Chakraborty, who presented Commendation Certificates and Mementos to employees for their exemplary performance in the run-up to the Republic Day celebrations.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Akshay Labroo congratulated the awardees and stated that dedication, sincerity, and hard work are the cornerstones of professional success and help individuals earn a respected place in society. He lauded the collective efforts of the officials who, through their commitment and exemplary work ethic, strengthened the district’s public service delivery system.
The Deputy Commissioner also underscored the importance of seamless coordination among the District Administration, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, and District Police to ensure effective and efficient governance across the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner SMC Faz Lul Haseeb emphasised that coordinated efforts among departments are vital for cultivating a positive work culture and delivering better services to the public. He urged officials to continue working with enhanced zeal, responsibility, and commitment towards public welfare.
Senior Superintendent of Police Srinagar, Sandeep Chakraborty, while addressing the gathering, praised the awardees for their dedication and outstanding service, stating that such recognition motivates personnel to continue striving for excellence.
The ceremony was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Rifat Aftab Qureshi; Additional Deputy Commissioner Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz; Additional Deputy Commissioner AAdil Fareed; Chief Planning Officer Fayaz Ahmad Dar, along with other senior officers, district and sectoral officers, and concerned officials.
Among those felicitated were Tanveer Ahmad Dar and Ms Aaliya Amin from the Employment Department for the successful implementation of Mission YUVA. From J&K Bank, Ms Rumana, Tariq Ahmad, Rouf Sheikh, Asif Sarwal, and Javed Kathu were honoured for their contributions.
From KPDCL, Ghulam Mohammad Ganai, Irfan Ahmad, Mohammad Ashraf, Tafazul Ahmad, Tanveer Ahmad, and Bilal Ahmad were felicitated for the effective implementation of Solar Rooftops under PM Surya Muft Bijli Yojana.
Officials from District Police, including Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh, Masarat Ahmad Mir, Nazir Ahmad Mir, Showkat Ahmad, Waseem Mohi-ud-Din Lone, and Adil Ahmad Tak, were also honoured for their dedicated service.
From Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Er Sajad Kawoosa was felicitated, while Zahid Rashid from the Irrigation and Flood Control Department was honoured for his contribution.
From the R&B Department, Er Khalid Mehmood, Er Muzamil Bashir, and Er Noor Mohammad Malik received awards for their services. Yameen-ul-Nabi and his team from the Food Safety Department were also felicitated.
From Fire and Emergency Services, Dr. Aqib Hussain Mir, Mr Adil Hussain Zargar, and Mr Aijaz Ahmad Shah were honoured for their exemplary service.
Additionally, Mst Shahida, Mst Shayista, Tahir Abbas, Mst Rifat Nazir, and Zaid Allaqband from the DC Office, SDM Office, and Chief Planning Office Srinagar were felicitated. From the Education Department, Aabid Ahmad Wangnoo received the award.
Besides, Aditya, Ghulam Hassan, Aijaz Ahmad, and Wasim Bashir were also felicitated during the programme.
