Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the India AI Impact Expo 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. He also visited various stalls of the expo. Minister of Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnoi and Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jatin Prasada were also present on the occasion.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the India AI Impact Expo 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi and inspected various exhibition stalls. The expo will continue till February 20 and is being held at the same venue along with the India AI Impact Summit.

The expo is being presented as a national platform for practical demonstration of Artificial Intelligence, highlighting the synergy between policy and practice, innovation and scale, and technology and the common citizen.

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 also began today, which is significant in that it is the first time that a global conference of this scale on Artificial Intelligence is being held in the Global South.

On February 19, Prime Minister Modi will deliver the inaugural address, outlining India’s vision for global collaboration and inclusive and responsible Artificial Intelligence. Artificial Intelligence is being touted as a key enabler for the country’s growth, better governance and effective delivery of public services as per the vision of Developed India 2047.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today welcomed global leaders, industry leaders, innovators, policy makers, researchers and technology enthusiasts from across the globe to the AI ​​Impact Summit being held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

The summit, themed “Sarojan Hatay, Sarojan Shukhay – Welfare of All, Happiness of All”, reflects India’s commitment to harnessing Artificial Intelligence for human-centric growth and inclusive development.

The Prime Minister highlighted the transformative role of AI in diverse sectors including healthcare, education, agriculture, governance and industrialisation. He expressed confidence that the discussions at the Summit will strengthen the global conversation on innovation, collaboration and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence, which will shape a future that is progressive, innovative and opportunity-driven.

Prime Minister Modi emphasized India’s leadership in the global AI transformation, powered by the power of its 4.1 billion people, strong digital public infrastructure, vibrant startup ecosystem and cutting-edge research. He emphasized that India’s progress in Artificial Intelligence reflects both aspirations and responsibility, placing the country at the forefront of technological advancement.
