Bilal Bashir Bhat
From the luminous courage of Ali ibn Abi Talibع to the unyielding sacrifice of Hussain ibn Aliع, and in our own age to Ali Khamenei, the pattern feels heartbreakingly familiar. Across centuries, those regarded by many as moral heirs to the mission of the Prophet Muhammad ص have faced isolation, betrayal, and elimination. Often the swords were not only drawn by declared enemies, but by rulers within the Muslim world who feared the weight of spiritual authority.
Aliع was encircled by intrigue. Hussainع was left alone on the burning sands of Karbala. Voices of resistance in every era were marginalized before they were silenced. These were not mere political disputes. They were confrontations between conscience and power, between prophetic ethics and imperial ambition.
Today, as another towering figure is mourned, many hearts look not only at external forces but also toward the Arab capitals present day Banu Ummayad that have chosen comfort over conviction.
While Palestine bleeds and the region trembles, segments of the Arab world deepen their political and economic embrace with Israel and Washington. The normalization deals, the red carpets, the business summits, and the quiet security cooperation all stand in painful contrast to the cries of the oppressed.
When luxury towers rise like in UAE while sacred lands remain under siege on lines of Masjid Aqsa, the symbolism becomes impossible to ignore.
For countless believers, the pain is not only about geopolitics. It is about moral alignment. It is about whether leadership stands with power or with principle.
The tragedy of Karbala was not only that Hussainع was killed. It was that so many watched in silence.
History teaches a severe lesson. Empires collaborate. Palaces glitter. Alliances shift. But the memory of sacrifice outlives them all. Every attempt to erase a legacy has instead carved it deeper into the conscience of the faithful. The martyrs fall, yet their message refuses to die.
