New Delhi: India has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Masri visited the Iranian Embassy in New Delhi and wrote his impressions in the condolence book.
On this occasion, Indian officials expressed their sympathy and condolences to the Iranian government and people. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed due to the US-Israeli attack.

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar spoke on the phone with his Iranian counterpart, Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, this afternoon. The Foreign Minister also spoke with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud al-Busaid regarding the ongoing tensions in West Asia.
