17 candidates from J&K clear All India Civil Services Examination

Tauseef Ahmed Ganai from Pulwama district of south Kashmir secured rank 254, while Ratika Bhan secured rank 456.

17 candidates from Jammu and Kashmir have cleared the prestigious All India Civil Services Examination. The results of this examination were released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday.

According to the news agency, Suwan Sharma from Jammu and Kashmir performed the best and secured All India Rank 148, while Sugandha Gupta secured the second prominent position by securing rank 207.

According to the results released, Tauseef Ahmed Ganai from Pulwama district of south Kashmir secured rank 254, while Ratika Bhan secured rank 456.

Ratika Bhan is a Kashmiri Pandit whose family currently resides in Jammu, while her native place is Batpora, Shopian. She had earlier secured 17th rank in the Jammu and Kashmir Combined Entrance Examination and has a Masters degree in Zoology from Cluster University Jammu.

Other successful candidates from Jammu and Kashmir include Suyash Raj Shivam (rank 572), Muneeb Afzal Parah (rank 581), Ghulam Maya Din (rank 683), Dwarka Gadhi (rank 721), Akash Jaggi (rank 747), Kohi Safa (rank 763), Yasir Ahmed Bhatti (rank 811), Abhishek Kumar Dhiyawana (rank 820), Pankaj Kumar (rank 856), Muhammad Ijaz-ur-Rehman (rank 869), Azhar Asif Khan (rank 886), Muhammad Sarfaraz Chaudhry (rank 936) and Irfan Ahmed Lone (rank 957).

Lieutenant Governor and Chief Minister congratulated
the candidates from Jammu and Kashmir on their success in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have congratulated them.
In his message, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that this success of the candidates from Jammu and Kashmir is a matter of pride for the region and will encourage the youth here to fulfill their dreams.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also praised the hard work, dedication and perseverance of the successful candidates and said that their success is a reflection of the capabilities and determination of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the success of these youth will also prove to be encouraging for other students and will motivate them to work harder to achieve higher goals. The Chief Minister also expressed his best wishes for a bright and successful future in the field of public service for the successful candidates.
